Spectator Sefety – Level 2
Course overview:
Edutrain360 offers a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety, recognized by NCFE. This qualification equips learners with essential knowledge for stewarding at spectator events and ensuring safety at such gatherings. The course spans four days, divided into two days of blended learning and two days of assessments, providing comprehensive training in safety protocols and procedures. This qualification is ideal for individuals currently working or aspiring to work in roles such as Safety Steward Supervisor, Security Supervisor, Response Steward Supervisor, Event Assistant, and Team Leader.
After completing the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety, a learner should be able to demonstrate and/or work with:

Entry Requirements
The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety can be offered to learners from age 16. LPTC does not specify entry requirements for this qualification. LPTC is required to ensure that learners admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment.
Duration and Delivery
The qualification is designed to be delivered over four days, with courses starting every Monday. It is flexible in its delivery to accommodate various learning needs, including face-to-face instruction through lectures, tutorials, seminars, and online learning methods.
Qualification Structure
The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety consists of 5 mandatory units:
- Prepare for Spectator Events (Unit 01)
- Assist with the Movement of Spectators and Deal with Crowd Issues at Spectator Events (Unit 02)
- Help to Manage and Resolve Conflicts (Unit 03)
- Deal with Incidents at Spectator Events (Unit 04)
- Support the Work of Your Team and Organisation (Unit 05)
Assessment & Verification
All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by NCFE. The qualifications are criterion-referenced, based on the achievement of all specified learning outcomes. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence demonstrating that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
Progression
Successful completion of the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety provides learners with opportunities for further progressions, such as moving on to higher-level qualifications in the same field i.e. Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety. As this qualification is recognized and regulated by NCFE, it is acknowledged by many educational institutions and employers, enhancing the learners’ career prospects in various roles related to spectator safety.
